Helpful meet:Participants at DreamSpark Yatra 2012 held at Padmasri B.V Raju Institute of Technology, Medak.
The DreamSpark Yatra 2012 Hyderabad edition held at Padmasri B.V Raju Institute of Technology, Medak
showcased how products of Microsoft were changing the way people interact.
The event had eminent speakers from Microsoft including Abhijit Jana and Nikhil Agarwal.
The chairman of BVRIT, Mr.Vishnu Raju gave an inspiring talk about the college and how Microsoft is helping young
minds in achieving greater heights.
Nikhil Agarwal, Software Development Engineer, Microsoft delivered the keynote giving a very clear overview of
Microsoft's products with special mention reserved for Microsoft Kinect, Microsoft Surface and Windows Phone.
He delivered an extensive session on Microsoft Kinect, highlighting the important hardware components that
constitute it and clearly underlining how easy it was to build a simple but useful Kinect Application. Also included in his interactive session were some demos where students were called upon the stage and were made to play with the Kinect device.
All the participants were given a DreamSpark certificate, a DreamSpark Key (which would enable them to download Microsoft Development kits free of charge.
The DSY is a Microsoft India initiative empowering students who are passionate about technology to get an insightful overview of the current trends in the software industry.

The Jayamukhi Institute of Technological Sciences (JITS), Narsampet, hosted the 􀂳Microsoft Dream Spark Yatra-2012􀂴 here on Tuesday.
It was the second time the JITS has hosted the event where the students were exposed to Windows Phone 7, Windows Azure Cloud Computing and Windows 8. Microsoft provided latest Microsoft Software keys free of cost to all the participants.
Prof. Jayadev Gyani, Advisor of DSY-2012 and Head, department of CSE, said about 1,000 participants from various colleges in State registered online for the event and took part actively. Microsoft DSY is a Microsoft Student Partners initiative, empowering students who are passionate about technology to get an overview of the current trends in the software industry.
B Tech (IT) fourth year students P. Bhaskar and B.Sadan Kumar have been selected as 􀂳Microsoft Student
Partners􀂴(MSP) for the year 2011-2012 by the Microsoft Academic Team. Anurag Bhatnagar, senior solution architect and Deputy General Manager, Microsoft Alliance, Mahindra Satyam was the chief guest.
