The Jayamukhi Institute of Technological Sciences (JITS), Narsampet, hosted the Microsoft Dream Spark Yatra-2012 here on Tuesday.
It was the second time the JITS has hosted the event where the students were exposed to Windows Phone 7, Windows Azure Cloud Computing and Windows 8. Microsoft provided latest Microsoft Software keys free of cost to all the participants.
Prof. Jayadev Gyani, Advisor of DSY-2012 and Head, department of CSE, said about 1,000 participants from various colleges in State registered online for the event and took part actively. Microsoft DSY is a Microsoft Student Partners initiative, empowering students who are passionate about technology to get an overview of the current trends in the software industry.
B Tech (IT) fourth year students P. Bhaskar and B.Sadan Kumar have been selected as Microsoft Student
Partners(MSP) for the year 2011-2012 by the Microsoft Academic Team. Anurag Bhatnagar, senior solution architect and Deputy General Manager, Microsoft Alliance, Mahindra Satyam was the chief guest.
